Let’s dedicate a blog space to some worldwide bad ass twenty-somethings. We could all learn a thing or two from these awesome gals I have come across!
I just wanted to say that I know these chicks aren’t famous for being inspirational, haven’t saved lives (not that I know of!) or struggled through wars or made millions of dollars, but we can all take inspiration from different life paths.
Bonny is an awesome soul. I love watching her videos on Youtube- I can almost feel her positively and happiness radiating through the laptop! Bonny is known for promoting veganism but is super peaceful about it and she is aware she has heaps of followers who aren’t vegan. Follow her on Insta to see a super smiley girl alongside yum vegan food, or watch her videos to see what she gets up to in her spare time!
Rupi is a poet and is well known for her posts on insta that have cute illustrations along with her short prose.
How cute right! All of her posts are inspirational and positive or helpful to other young women.
I find it so fascinating how she only writes with in lower capitals. She said, “although i can read and understand my mother tongue (punjabi) i do not have the skill set to write poetry in it. to write punjabi means to use gurmukhi script. and within this script there are no uppercase or lowercase letters. all letters are treated the same. i enjoy how simple that is. how symmetrical and how absolutely straightforward. i also feel there is a level of equality this visuality brings to the work. a visual representation of what i want to see more of within the world: equalness.”
I think it’s super inspirational how she thinks on her own and doesn’t let society shape what she does. I would love to hear your thoughts on ‘breaking’ the rules of English. William Blake used an Ampersand (&) in replace for ‘and’ which is now not practiced in english formally. He also made up spellings like in his poem ‘The Ecchoing Green’ (I quite like that spelling of echoing tbh).
Ultimate travel inspiration. I always go on Emily’s Instagram when I want inspiration for places to explore next! @emelinaah
Frances is a body positive and self love believer who creates beautiful illustrations, many women have even got her art tattooed on their bods! Frances spreads a very inspiring message- to love the skin you’re in completely and unapologetically.
Who do aspire to be like?
